Who we are
TechoparcOiseaux is a citizen group with more than 4200 members. The objective of this popular mobilization is to protect the natural environments of the Technoparc of Montreal, in Quebec, and the federal lands adjacent to it.

The greenspaces and natural habitats of the Montreal Technoparc and adjacent federal lands total 215 hectares of unfragmented, unprotected greenspace, widely considered to be the last such unprotected sweeping greenspace on the island of Montreal. Rich in biodiversity, 215 species of birds have been recorded on site, finding refuge in the grasslands, wetlands and woods located north of PET/YUL airport. Several threatened and special-concern species use and even nest in this green space. It is clear that the space must be protected at all costs. To sacrifice this greenspace to industrial development will exacerbate the effects of climate change and contribute to ongoing losses in our Canadian biodiversity.
